They are expressions of internal processes. They may change over time as the organization evolves. Side note maybe it's easier to get the right meaning when we talk about personal core values. Unlike business values they define characteristics of individuals rather than organizations. It's worth mentioning this distinction which may be particularly useful for those working in jobs such as human resources. We focus here on defining business core values.
